Barnacles

Barnacles is an assemblage of baskets, made from wisteria vines and ribbons dyed with plants grown and gathered around my home. The baskets will contain bits of treasure for viewers to interact with.

Opportunities to give and receive freely, particularly with strangers, are few and far between. Thrifting, bartering, and reuse are age-old methods of acquiring that hold so much potential for joy and discovery. The ability to do so through this sculpture offers a spark of excitement and connection for Cannonball visitors.
