Infinite abstraction from direct floral prints

Bundle dyeing is a fascinating way to create abstract patterns with natural color. There’s an aspect of unpredictability in the results that I absolutely love, and that keeps me mildly obsessed with this method for creating color and pattern.

Being so tied to this process has left me with a whole lot of patterned textiles. I’m currently exploring how to manipulate these fabrics to create soft sculptures whose forms play off of the patterning of the fabric.
