The Weather

A site-specific installation at Recess Studio, Tacoma, WA

Weavings grow over time, as do shared vocabularies, memories, and quirks of language with our nearest and dearest. How wonderfully, fluidly effortless is it to communicate with old friends through shared vernacular, facial nuance, references unfathomable to anyone else? What happens when those old friends, the ones you’ve experienced and revealed yourself so freely to, are not there anymore? The Weather offers a place to sit with ourselves surrounded by colors intertwined, reclining into pillowy walls, holding space, silence, memories, and awe at the passage of time.
